The second transaction came through today and guess what it was another House of Fraser one. As asked I got in touch with the bank people first thing this morning and reported this transaction to the disputes department. During the call I had to choose if my fraud transaction was above £100 or not, in this case it was (£106.98). Then when I got the right guy and explained to him the case, he put me on hold for a while and then said that the bank will credit this money to my account. Great! So I asked, what about the £95 transaction that I reported yesterday?
“I will put in you through to the disputes team, they will able to help you trace that one.” said the guy. Hmmm….ok, so more waiting. But instead of a new guy it was the same guy again, “We have decided to refund that money to your account as well.” GREAT!
The victim has been saved. The drama, fortunately, has been short-lived. May be they were reading my blog post while they put me on hold and thought that it’s better to refund my money before I write more about this fraud case. But on a serious note, may be they realised from my previous transactions that I wasn’t the House of Fraser posh departmental store type person, which I am not. Or may be they found out what had gone wrong in the system. I will never know…for now I am happy that I am going to get my money back. Even though I have to be without a debit card for a week, things could have been far worse. Thank you Lloyds TSB for restoring my faith.
